17 Seriously

Our big B-rad is 17 now. I can hardly believe it even as he towers over me. What a great kid! We had delicious cookies and cream icecream cake and a nice quiet night to celebrate.

New Years Day Sledding.

My fabulous brother Eric and his amazing wife host a great sledding party every year. This was of course no exception. We had Angie and her family here for Christmas as well as my sibling that live close. So much FUN. We went up Spanish Fork canyon and found a side road and set up on the side of the mountain. There was a lot of deep snow that all had to be packed for sledding. John, Eric and the other spent a lot of time carving out a run and making a jump. Eric brought his huge fire pit along with Hot coco and Alisyn made yummy biscotti. What a great day. I think the sun was nearly down before we left. It's hard to leave a great party! Angie and I ran the 'Car for Coldies' or whimps. Me included ;)

John and Eric susing out the trail...look how deep that snow is.

Happy Birthday to Jeff!

My little Jeffy is 4. I can't believe how fast the time goes. We had a great birthday and he picked a pirate cake. I have to admit this was one of my favorites to make. He had a lot of fun helping me. He had been asking all day "when do I get to put on the cannon balls and pirates?

Sadly by the time we did his little family party the 'Mighty Cracken' had gotten to his boat.

Happy Birthday BIG boy!

Christmas wishes

We had a great time with my sister Angie's family again this year for the holidays. It is always a blast when we get our families together. This is of course our nativity Christmas Eve. The kids all did so great and they put this together all themselves...right down to baby Jesus waving to all of us on-lookers.Hailie played Silent Night for us on her gutair and it was so beautiful.
And here we have Christmas morning Kaos...Jason is sporting a scarf he got from uncle Shon all the way from Afganistan.

Jeffy finally gets the long awaited for Pillow Pet! Santa didn't forget John either.
Kelsie gets an amazing art set from big Brad.
Trent gets cozy with a new blanket.
Angie and I are pretty sure we saw little teary eyes of excitement when Hailie opened these riding boots from grandma and grandpa Sorensen.
Brad sporting a new sweatshirt.....always the comedian.
Fun with all the cousins and nerf guns.
Melly got a new hat.
Trent gets a cool hoop for his room.
Jeffy was so excited to give his gift to Brad.
Sisters and more Afganistan head wear!
Kelsie made me this great little scrapbook all about my family. We had so much fun and loved every minute of spending time together.
