Another day Another Eagle

Today was Bradley's Eagle project. He chose to hold a blood drive with the Red Cross. He held it at the community center where John teaches Hap-Ki-Do and it was a great success! It was alot of work to gather enough people to qualify the drive but he worked his little tail off and thanks to the support of amazing friends and neighbors we pulled it off. I had no idea all the uses for blood and how many people depend on it for treatment. That was a real eye opener for me. Great job Brad you rocked it! Sara loves to give blood

Does not hurt to have cute girls working the front desk

John giving double timeUncle Jared support...always good

Thanks so much to everyone for your help and time... we couldn't have done it without you!

Regional Finals

Last week on the only sunny day we have had for a loooong time it was regionals for Brads high jump. It was such a nice day and Jared and Lindsay joined us with little Trae. We had a great time cheering Brad on and just enjoying the weather. Brad just found out he will be lettering this year and we are very proud of him. He has worked really hard this year at his jumping and is also sporting strait A's!
Jumping!

Enjoying some down time with little Trae

Giving Jeff a little shake up

and of course a little football with uncle Jared

Perfect Day!

Hailie's first date?

Shon and Roxanne came for a week long visit during his R&R. They will be off to officers school in Virginia beginning in July probably for the next year so it will be a while until we are able to see them again. Well my kids totally worship their uncle Shon, he holds true HERO status in our house. We had a great time while they were here. Shon realized that he would not be here next month when Hailie turns 16. He wanted to take her on her first date so we let him bend the rules a little and take her on a date before she was 16. They doubled with Brad and Rox. They went rock climbing and had a fab time. Hailie took this great picture of the rose he brought her. Too bad this is the only picture I have from their date.

Jason's Eagle Scout project

Jason had the great opportunity to team up with Comcast Day of Caring. He organized about 60 volunteers to help with revitalizing Majestic Elementry school. We started off the day with a breakfast of donuts and getting into groups. Then we did all kids of projects around the school from painting, reparing books, planting new flower beds, and redoing the little habitat they had behind the school. It was such a great time and we had so much help from friends and neighbors. My family decided we should do it every year. I agree, what a great way to get out and help in the community!

KFC provided lunch for everyone and it really was finger lickin good. We were all starving! Thanks to everyone who came out and helped we had a wonderful day!

Now anyone that would like to come out and give blood for Brads Eagle blood drive in a few weeks just give him a call ;) {2 boys-2 projects-2months} phew!
