Projects and choppers

We decided to tackle finishing the rest of our board and batton trim that we began this spring. The wood has been sitting in the garage but there are way more fun things to do in the summer other than indoor projects. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Annie and family in Elko.  Then in was back to work.  Right in the middle of our project our neighbor that has a mini chopper addiction called and asked if we could play. We rode the choppers up the street to maverick for hot coaco. It was a whole lot of fun. It took some convincing on my part because I am a huge pansie.

Family Pictures 2013

Most of you should know by now that I am a little obsessed with photos.  I love having pics of my kids and family every year. Every year I grow closer to some of my kids moving on and not being here able to do that.  So for now I will do them every chance I get.  ;)  For your viewing pleasure and in keeping with somewhat of a tradition here are some of our great ones!  I would highly recommend clicking on each picture for a larger view so you can really enjoy the facial expression.  Please especially note Johns face in the very last one.

This first one is my very, most totally, absolute fav!  I asked everyone to hug someone.  Take note of their faces, the JOY that they are feeling is palpable.  And Jason....Jason hugging the air while he exclaims "FOREVER ALONE!"
I really loves Brads face in this one.

          Some need no explanation.
Ooops.  I think the camera has worn out it's Welcome.
Would you like to see some 'GOOD ones" ?   ........Me too......

New Rubber Ducky

Our little Rubber Ducky {aka our boat} is getting a little up there in age.  She was really starting to show it too.  With the support of my amazing SIL Ashley we decided it was time to tackle a reupholster job.  Ash got us started on the back on engine cover then John and I were able to conquer the rest.  We are so happy with how is turned out and as luck would have it John also got a Go-Pro camera that we have had lots of fun with so he put together this little time lapse video. It's kinda cool to watch...

The back seat before and after. Most of the red in the before is actually red duct tape keeping it all together. Ü who doesn't love duct tape?

She popped the question!

Jason got a fun surprise this weekend. Just after the first session of conference sunday morning our doorbell rang. A large mess of popcorn is what we found. A mystery for Jason!

Just as a funny side note, last month He and his friends were all at our house getting all the stuff ready to ask girls to homecoming. He had just finished his and remembering we were heading to lake Powell soon I asked him when it was. It was of course while we were gone. But his friend was happy to use his finished item to ask his date Ü

Check out the Hapkido video from the Folkfest

IM Hap ki do was invited to demo at the Folk Fest again this year.  It was great fun and the kids and John have really worked hard on their skills.  It's great for them to have the chance to go share their talents with others and show off a little   ;)

Finally

I have been wanting to paint this green wall for well over a year now. Can you see why it took me so long??  I told John I wouldn't make him help me paint it again for at least two more years Ü  He is such a good sport.
Bye, bye. You were a good color for a moment.

Bradley moves in....or out?

Bradley moved into the dorms last week at Westminster with an ROTC Army scholarship. We are SO excited for him!

Fun, Happy, Chaos

We had a wonderful weekend last week with John's family all in town for brothers weekend. We also hosted two of his siblings baby blessings as well!  Here are some fun pics of the day.  We were only missing Shon's lovely wife and family and Jeff and Katie and kids. It's not too often we are all together.
Here are a few of the kids perched to watch the blessings.
