Whew...another week has past!

Sometimes that's all I can say....Well I made it thru another week! This week ended perfectly by being able to go to the temple with my family as we gathered with Trey to go thru for his own endowment. How I love being in the Lord's house with my family. There is just something so right about that. It gives the perspective I long for and sometimes loose track of. We are all here to face trials and be tested. (does the test have to be so darned hard?) When I am with my family and especially in the temple I know that it will all be O.K. and that we are truly watched over and blessed by a loving Father in Heaven who is ever mindful of our needs and prayers. He wants us to succeed and find eternal JOY not just happiness. And as much as Satan wants us to fail we cannot if we put our faith in Christ.

To my family I love you all. What a great blessing to be part of such a wonderful and caring family. What amazing parents we have that worked so hard for us growing up and continue doing so on a daily basis. I am truly Blessed.

We were able to go to Elko (Nevada) last weekend for Annie and Bretts new little baby's blessing. I had never been out that way and was a little excited to see the amazing salt flats. From space it looks like someone dumped out a bunch of, well salt. So I of course had to take pictures. I really enjoyed the drive and the view. It was interesting reading all the love notes and messages written in stones on the flats along the way. So all the talk is about this Martian tree out in the middle of nowhere. I guess some guy thought there really should be a tree out there. To here it is. It is absolutely gigantic so the picture doesn't really do it justice. But the kids really enjoyed that and I must admit so did I.
And here's a shot from the other side!

Then here is an area that if full of water from run off. I would guess this is only a few inches deep but it looks like a great blue lake.

Then here is little Jeffy kickin' it at the hotel. My kids think everything is a vacation in we can stay in a hotel and swim....

Ahhhh....Cute!

So life has been crazy as usual. This is Johnnys birthday. We had a ton of people over that day. It was on a Sunday and Shon and Roxanne blessed their new little Cody that day and then we hosted the after dinner at our house. Between the Conover's and Roxanne's family I think we had close to 60 people here! It was a great day with losts of people. So we had a little quiter party that evening when most of the caos had settled. Jeff looks pretty happy to help his dad with the cake! Happy birthday Johnny. I love you!
