Our first stiches

so we have spent nearly the last 16 years raising children and this is our first set of stitches. Jeffy is our new little Frankenstein. He tripped while playing outside and fell into the shared mailbox at the end of the cul-de-sac. He was so funny walking home, I heard him crying and went to investigate and found him covered in blood and crying "I got blood" So 4 little stitches and he's very proud of them. That was Monday night just as we were getting ready to leave to the Mascot Bowl in Lehi.1, 2, 3, 4,

A friend of ours works for the Jazz and gave us tickets for this game. All of the Utah Mascots were there and some NFL and NBA and others to play the Lehi 8th grade foot ball team. It was a lot of fun. Sadly this is the only picture I got. Barney the Dinosaur was there and got tackled and lost his head. It was great and after being hauled away and dumped off the stretcher he returned with crutches and such. It was a fun night and the kids had a blast.

New Family photos

Well those of you who know me know that I love family pics. This year we did them ourselves using a handy step stool and the timer. This is Gardner Village which I absolutely love. It is closed on Sundays so it makes the perfect setting and no people to deal with.

The last Panama

Here is our last boating trip of the season. This move is generally the finale to every boating outing. Our kids named it the Panama in honor of the movie Sahara. It is their favorite thing to do. And we typically end up doing it over and over.

Jeff's little Sucker head...

So Jeffy had a really long day. All I really remember from that day was their was a lot to get done and a lot of crying from this cute little kid. On the way to pick up the kids from Hap-ki-do Bradley gave him a sucker to quiet him down and when we got home he was fast asleep in his car seat. I just can't figure out how it got there. So RaNdOm.

New Floors

We have been busy working on installing our new floors. Yes we have only been here 2 years but Shaw (John's company) is replacing our carpet under the warranty. The only catch is we have to pay for the labor. Sooooo we opted to put hard wood in our master and laminate in the kids room. We can do the labor for that, thus we can afford it. We started in our bedroom over labor day weekend ....

Never mind Johns tiger blanket on the bed...we are in the middle of changing out our bedding as well. John thinks TIGGIE will work just fine.Isn't that a good lookin floor...And finished Kelsie's on Labor day. I love the way it looks and SO easy to clean!

Back to school Luau

Our cul-de-sac hosted a back to school Luau for our neighborhood. We had an amazing turn out and so much fun. We had IZ playing in the back ground to set the mood. Jason (far left) Neil(middle) and John were on PIG duty. A friend with a back-hoe came and dug a large hole in the vacant lot at the end of our circle. These three got up at 2:00 AM to put the pig in the ground after four hours of prep time they put the pig in about 6:00 am. Everyone lined the sides when it was time to take it out. I'm really sad I didn't get any pictures of this. Our neighbor Jon built these water balloon launchers and the kids had a great time launching back and forth.

Then came our the "human sling shot" yea...it's exactly like it sounds.....

Brad goes for a ride too.

Three schools in three years.....

So here they go off to the 3rd school in 3 years. I opted to put these 3 into a charter school this year. I am loving it and so far they are too...Bradley is a sophmore at Bingham high and Hailie is a freshman. They leave way too early to get their pics taken. Jeffy had a nervous brake down and felt that he needed to go to school too. After many tears I packed him a lunch too and we did pictures and yes this was all the smile he could muster that morning....

Jason is ready for Junior high???

Trenton charming as ever...

Kelsie excited to wear uniforms.
Yay for back to school.

Bella goes Hawaiian

We had an amazing weekend. Our neighbor Jason had a back to school luau and invited the whole neighborhood. We had a huge turn out. He did a whole pig island style and cooked it in a pit in the vacant lot on the corner. After the party They took the pig remains and put them back in the pit and buried them. Well Yesterday Bella went our to potty and came back a while later. She was at the back door holding THIS! Yep, it's the lower leg and hoof. Now keep in mind that this is not that much smaller than she is and she drug it a long way home. We laughed so hard. She could barley open her mouth big enough to get it in there. Once inside she gulped down a ton of water and then lounged around all day like fat templeton from Charlotts Web. She still hasn't touched ANY of her food today! Crazy dog!
