Sugar me up Baby!

John made sugar cookies with the kids for Valentines day. Isn't he great. The kids loved it and I did too. ;) Theresa and Meagan also stopped by for a little visit. It was a very nice evening.

2nd Dan Black Belts

In January Brad and Hailie were able to test for there 2nd degree black belt. It is so great to see their dedication and advancement. I especially love that their dad gets to be their teacher and it is a family affair (all but baby Jeffy). The man in the center is Master Lim and the two on the out side are father and son Nathan and Master Sommers.

My 1920's Hartmann Cushion-Top Wardrobe Trunk

I found this great trunk at D.I. about a year ago. I had been looking for one for some time just to use as decoration of course. This was a great buy at $30 bucks. It was locked and no key but we could hear stuff rattling around in it and I was anxious to see the inside. So fast forward a year and Bring in Kevin: "Hey do you want me to open that for you?" Me: " Aaaa YA!" Kevin: "I can just cut the lock for you." Me: "Sweet!" So when they came to do my tile we also did a little locksmithing, Sorensen style......The original stickers are still on it so I was able to look it up on the Internet and know what the inside would have looked like, but what did MINE look like and what was all the stuff rolling around in there?

Lets get to work.....the sparks were flying and we held our breath...treasure maybe?

So cool Look, it still had some of the original hangers but all the drawers that would have been on the right are missing. There is a little water damage on the bottom but over all pretty nice for being nearly 100 years old. Thanks for another great adventure Kevin and Ashley.

Happy Birthday Johhny!

I always love when Johns birthday rolls around. He is such a great guy and I love him dearly. He has every quality I could ever ask for in a husband not to metion he is totally hot. But I love his birthday most because he is finally as old as me! ;) I love you, you were my 'Hero' nearly 18 years ago and you are still my Hero today.

My new backsplash

I am so excited. I have been wanting this for a long time and wonderful Ashley and Kevin hooked us up for Christmas. They came a few weeks ago and did my back splash with this beautiful stone. I love it!! Thank you SO much. Getting started.
