My little lady

Few things are more beautiful to me than one of my precious children just being their awesome self.

Washington D.C.

Brad got the chance to drive across the country to North Carolina and then to D.C. He drove back with Roxanne and the kids and spent a couple of days in North Carolina then flew to see Jared and Lindsay in Washington. I have to admit, I am a little jealous. Ok a lot jealous.

Let's Ride!

A few weeks ago John's sister Amy and her family were here for the weekend. Hailie and Kelsie decided it would be fun to go home to Idaho with her for a few days and since grandma and grandpa were coming down a few days after that it worked out well. Nick had come a few days later on his bike so Hailie was more than happy to ride home with him. Here she is getting on all Amy's riding gear. I think she was drooling a little while she was getting ready and probably most of the way to Idaho. {wink, wink}. That girl loves her some motorcycle!

Gotta go back, back, back to schoooool!

To quote a great song from Grease!  Yep back to school time and there is no sadness here on my part. It's just a fact of life and I have come to terms with that. {winkie face}  Plus my kids are happy being back in school and with all their friends.

Another DI treasure

While dropping off a load at DI I decided to run in and take a look around. I fell in love at the DI today. I know it sounds silly but it really was love at first sight and I know what that is because that is how I felt about my husband who next week I will have been married to for 20 years! He is still the love of my life. But I did fall hard again today...with this little beauty. A classic RCA Victorola stereo console. I have been dreaming of one of these to refinish and use as a TV console under our TV that hangs on the wall. Much to my joy when I got it home and plugged it in it roared to life with the 'loudness' button turned all the way up. It works and actually sounds pretty good. I am kinda sad to tear all the speaker stuff out. Stay posted for updates and my reveal when it is finished. Isn't she pretty?

It's a sunny day!

We are having a great time in Arizona with my family. My mom had hip replacement and Jeffy, Kelsie and I came down to help out a little. I miss the desert and have loved being home again in the Valley of the Sun.
