Trenton is a strait A student (no REALLY)

( If you can't read it click on it to make it bigger)
OK...So Trent brought this home from school today. It is a safety poster draft that I am supposed to approve. Well now this is just plain wrong on a few levels ;) Do you think I should approve it? Is this what the school is teaching now? Well we had a good laugh this morning.

Whew...another week has past!

Sometimes that's all I can say....Well I made it thru another week! This week ended perfectly by being able to go to the temple with my family as we gathered with Trey to go thru for his own endowment. How I love being in the Lord's house with my family. There is just something so right about that. It gives the perspective I long for and sometimes loose track of. We are all here to face trials and be tested. (does the test have to be so darned hard?) When I am with my family and especially in the temple I know that it will all be O.K. and that we are truly watched over and blessed by a loving Father in Heaven who is ever mindful of our needs and prayers. He wants us to succeed and find eternal JOY not just happiness. And as much as Satan wants us to fail we cannot if we put our faith in Christ.

To my family I love you all. What a great blessing to be part of such a wonderful and caring family. What amazing parents we have that worked so hard for us growing up and continue doing so on a daily basis. I am truly Blessed.

We were able to go to Elko (Nevada) last weekend for Annie and Bretts new little baby's blessing. I had never been out that way and was a little excited to see the amazing salt flats. From space it looks like someone dumped out a bunch of, well salt. So I of course had to take pictures. I really enjoyed the drive and the view. It was interesting reading all the love notes and messages written in stones on the flats along the way. So all the talk is about this Martian tree out in the middle of nowhere. I guess some guy thought there really should be a tree out there. To here it is. It is absolutely gigantic so the picture doesn't really do it justice. But the kids really enjoyed that and I must admit so did I.
And here's a shot from the other side!

Then here is an area that if full of water from run off. I would guess this is only a few inches deep but it looks like a great blue lake.

Then here is little Jeffy kickin' it at the hotel. My kids think everything is a vacation in we can stay in a hotel and swim....

Ahhhh....Cute!

So life has been crazy as usual. This is Johnnys birthday. We had a ton of people over that day. It was on a Sunday and Shon and Roxanne blessed their new little Cody that day and then we hosted the after dinner at our house. Between the Conover's and Roxanne's family I think we had close to 60 people here! It was a great day with losts of people. So we had a little quiter party that evening when most of the caos had settled. Jeff looks pretty happy to help his dad with the cake! Happy birthday Johnny. I love you!

This is Hailie and her friend Melissa...and yes this IS how they dress in Utah! Actually this is a funny picture but if you look close you will also see Hailie got her braces OFF. Yea And I can't believe it but our little Jeffy turned 2.
This is Jeffy's Birthday CHOO-CHOO. He is absessed with trains right now and was very upset when it was time to cut the cake. It was really funny!

Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen got him a Nerf gun...He was in heaven.

So yeay, my computer is up and running again....with all the keys in their rightful place. It's good to be back.

So here, I am including some of the reasons why I love Lake Powell. I just needed a little 'SUNSHINE' today. Sorry...This post will be back wards....so scroll to the bottom and read and then scroll thru the pics. Since I can't post anything new quite yet I thought I'd give ya a little blast from 2006. Here's the fish Hailie caught.....Yeah can you believe it!
Jason and cousin Jake...'spies like us'
John goes for a splash.

Beautiful Powell at sunrise. Need I say more!

Our house boat, ski boat and wave runners from the cliff above!

Yes...here I am. Still alive after all the holidays and such. I am quite out of sorts without my computer and all my pics and stuff. We are finally getting it fixed though! Sooo hopefully soon I will be posting lots of goodies. For those of you that don't know my computer dilemma My brilliant little Jeffy pulled off 35 keys and who knows what else..But I guess it was just as well, life has been a little crazy anyway! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. As for me I can't wait until water skiing season in back. I decided that I am part reptile...I need the sun to live. But until them I am enjoying the much snow we have had this year. I figure if it's cold it may as well be white!

We are planning a trip to Arizona this May (it will have been 3 years since we've been home) now that's a little sad. We are excited to come visit and see everyone. We are also planning a trip or Oregon later in the summer and hopefully to Lake Powell...
